Buddah!

Last time we were here we went to see buddah on a hill. He is the largest bronze buddah sitting cross legged on a hill higher than 200 meters accessible by a cable car. The problem was that last time we went, the buddah was shrouded in dense fog and we couldn't see him! Not so this time!

The cable car ride is particularly fun for me because it goes past HKG. See the background.

Cloudy but still pretty

The four mile cable car ride takes about 20-30 minutes but is entertaining the whole time.

At about minute 12 you can see him!
Impressive, no?

Up close he's even more so.

Ni hao!

On the way back down the line for the cable car was outrageous. The alternative is to buy a ticket for the "crystal cabin," which is a glass bottomed cable car. I was terrified at first, but motivated by the 20 minute wait compared to the hour and a half wait for the standard car. It all turned out just fine and I did not fall through the glass.

This was a few hours well spent, and should be on anyone's short list when they come to Hong Kong.
